Arts University Bournemouth Husky's Kit
I undertook was a commission from Arts University Bournemouth’s volleyball team to design their kit for the 2025–2026 season. The project included two jersey designs, two shorts designs, sweatshirts, training shirts, and the potential development of additional merchandise. This commission became an important part of my portfolio as it allowed me to work to a real client brief, balancing creative exploration with clear functional and professional requirements.
I approached the project with a structured, industry-style workflow. I began by researching the team’s previous kits to understand their established visual identity, colour palette, and overall aesthetic. This ensured continuity while identifying areas where the design could evolve. Alongside this, I analysed current volleyball and performance-wear trends, looking at how contemporary kits use bold graphics, considered typography, and dynamic paneling to enhance movement and on-court presence.
Through multiple iterations, I refined composition, scale, and detailing to ensure the designs were cohesive across all garments while remaining visually impactful.
The final outcomes aimed to represent the liveliness and individuality of AUB in a polished and unified way, aligning with current athletic design trends while maintaining a distinctive identity for the team. Below are selected development stages and final designs from the completed commission.
